(Post 32) Planning- Sound

  • Any diegetic sound that occurs as part of your idea?
Diagetic sound is sound from a certain film or video whose source is visible on the screen or whose source is implied to be present by the action of the film. Diagetic sound is used in our music video at the start to imply a argument that holds importance but more so narrative to help the story line be understood by the audience. This is implemented by an argument of them shouting and hurling abuse towards one another to show there strong feelings and a form of relationship between them and help understand their role in the music video.

  • Any Foley sound that needs to be recorded as part of your idea?
Foley sound is  the reproduction of everyday sound effects that are added to film or video in post-production to enhance audio quality

  • Any lip-syncing that needs to be done as part of your idea?
yes. we use lip syncing a minimal amount to help engage the actors with the song and make
them look apart of the music video to look more professional but more so realistic and powerful
and also show creativity. It is difficult to produce but with only small amounts we can perfect this
and use our strengths in other elements such as camera angles or Mise-en-scene.
